Design of a Dual Band SNG Metamaterial Based Antenna for LTE 46/WLAN and Ka-Band Applications

The non-existing properties of the metamaterial surfaces can be utilized to improve antenna radiation characteristics. In this article, a design and performance analysis Single Negative (SNG) based is imparted for LTE 46/WLAN Ka-band (like in satellite communication receiving side) applications. unit cell surface exhibits negative permittivity positive permeability; yielding high magnitude refractive index, used analyze proposed monopole element. SNG covers -10 dB bandwidth from 5.35-5.69 GHz (LTE 46/WLAN) 17.81-20.67 (Ka-band). total size element 20.2×28.4 mm 2 while 2×3 at back which improves gain 4.52 9.13 desired Ka band 1.17 5.04 band. Furthermore, frequency band, impedance matching also gets better, resulting return loss improvement -11 -32.4 dB. Moreover, efficiency improved by more than 10 % after employing surface. measured results fall good agreement with simulated one make competent
